Fred Honeycutt Jr., 55, Johnson City passed away peacefully Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of the late Fred and Maude Honeycutt. Mr. Honeycutt spent his time talking about the Lord. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandson and the family cat, Crowly.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Miller Honeycutt whom he loved so dearly in 2016; sisters, Nell, Irene, Zella and Wanda; brothers, J.E. and Stanley and a nephew, Rick.
Survivors include a son, Derek; a daughter, Chasity, grandson, Ethan, a daughter-in-law, Ashley; sisters, Lorraine, Earlene and Norma; brothers, Larry and Mike; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, a special friend, Christopher Green.
Funeral services for Mr. Honeycutt will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 24, 2018 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Rev. Gene Deaton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Interment will follow in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
