Donna Lynn Rhea, 70 of Johnson City passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at her residence. She was a native of Johnson City and was a daughter of Hal E. Tate of Monmouth, Illinois and the late Roxie Blackburn Berry. Mrs. Rhea was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working puzzles. Family was her greatest pleasure. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, James B. Rhea in 2000.
Survivors include seven children, Buddy Rhea, Lisa Bunch and husband, Steve, Bryan Rhea all of Johnson City, Scott Rhea and Brad Rhea of Jonesborough, Lori Rhea and Chris Rhea of Johnson City; two sisters, Susan Peterson of Johnson City and Carol Lewis of Greeneville; two brothers, Chris Woodward of Jonesborough and Dave Wilson of Missouri; four grandchildren, Robbie Bennett, Taylor Rhea, Josh Bunch and Brittany Marshall; five great-grandchildren, Bryson and Bailey Bennett, Bowen Hayes, Paisley and Colton Marshall; also several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Rhea will be conducted at 2:30 PM Friday, April 6, 2018 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park with Pastor Karl Gasser officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:20 PM.
